What is Biofloc Technology?

Biofloc technology (BFT) is an innovative aquaculture technique that focuses on nutrient recycling within the fish rearing system. It maximizes fish growth at very minimum space while using an aeration system in the tanks. A farmer can grow one-acre fish in just a small tank of 15×15 feet in the walled farm excluding the theft & environment risks. Round-the-year farming is only possible in Biofloc tanks.

Many countries have shifted their major production to this technology but Pakistani farmers are far away from the world. Fortunately, Smart Biofloc Technologies have introduced innovative techniques in this sector and now farmers are shifting their farms to Biofloc fish farming techniques. We have been working in this field since 2020, with our R&D department continuously in touch with national and international institutions.
